When 15-year-old DeKendrix Warner accidentally stepped into deeper water while wading in the Red River in Shreveport, he panicked.

JaTavious Warner, 17, Takeitha Warner, 13, JaMarcus Warner, 14, Litrelle Stewart, 18, Latevin Stewart, 15, and LaDarius Stewart, 17, rushed to help him and each other.

None of them could swim. All six drowned. DeKendrix was rescued by a passer-by.

Black people don't swim because they do not live near environments with an abundance of water, and they cant drown in the neighborhood pool. The main reason is their parents can't swim so they never learned anyway. Oh and running in to save someone drowning and not knowing how to swim is quite stupid, admirable, but stupid.

the reason the kids jumped in is the same reason why coal minors have died numerous times when someone gets injured.

We naturally respond to injuries by going to that person to assist. We will naturally disregard our own safety to accomplish this.

If you are ever in a first responder class, you learn that if you see an accident you immediately stop and do not go to that person. You have to really observe what is going on and figure out what is causing the problem. There is a case that had 5 coal miners die because they kept jumping into a pit trying to save everyone. The pit had a low hanging gas that was killing everyone.

It's not about being special. There are good intentions really. Most African- Americans have a connection with their African roots. However, the caucasian influence and slave trade severely halted their education of the continent. Those that try to learn have no idea where to start. You'll see this when the more "Afro-Centric" ones try to learn Kiswahili, the native language of Kenyans. Though only a few of their Ancestors were Kenyan. Due to this lack of education, most of the names derived for black people are names that sound African, but are not African.
