View Full Version : MORE fun as hell

I picked up an E-Revo VXL and a bunch of aluminum hop ups for it. Anyone looking to grab something to screw around with MUST get one of these.

I have not had this much fun with anything 16th scale ever. It hauls extreme ass and the Cantilever suspension works flawlessly.

Never will understand peoples fascination with adding aluminium, especially suspension arms. That moves the stress points from relatively cheap plastic suspension arms to the mounting tabs ( where the pins slide through) on the chassis. Yes most use blocks, but the stress is still transferred with a higher degree to the chassis. So when you fuck up and hit a trash can you get to replace a chassis instead of just a suspension arm.

When you fuck up and do it on a 10th or 8th scale you'll bend an aluminum arm every time. There is this little rule of mass where the 16th scale don't carry enough momentum in the mass to destroy them if you wreck them like the big ass heavy 10th and 8th scale do. Do ya homew3Rk. Size matters over chemical makeup.

I see your physics skills are as strong as your soldering skills. By your logic, a yugo would survive a head on collison better than a humvee? After all the yugo has both less mass and acceleration.........My homework was done while you were still suckling your mama's teet. Keep buying the bling man.

He is missing the point entirely, it has nothing to do with the mass or size of the vehicle. It's simple common sense. Which breaks first plastic or aluminium ? :duh: So why the fuck would you replace the easy and cheaper to replace parts with aluminium, but leave the harder more expensive parts to replace plastic??????????????? If you want to bling the shit out, do it right and get a graphite chassis or aluminium and build on it. Not the freaking factory nylon one. Do that, and the chassis becomes the weak point in the design. Of course if I had done my homework like the wizard of id here. I would have never had to figure that out the hard ( expensive) way on my own.

Depending on who's operating the car they tend to 'fuck up' a lot.
