Lawl what's your definition of underground?

I assumed you meant "non-mainstream." If you meant not signed to a label, that's a different story.

Strong words for a little one fag. I also was not trying to be funny skipper, and yes indeed, lil wayne was underground at one time. Thanks for playing, but you lost the game :fyi:.

Most of those groups are not underground.
Why does it have to be underground? That's dumb. You're just asking for a label now to be 'cool.' Just because it's underground doesn't mean it's good.
It means one of two things:
The artist is anti-corporation, or believes that a label will tell them to change their music and they are not willing to cooperate.
Or they suck.
And in MOST cases, it's the latter. For artists like Immortal Technique, it's the former. But there are a lot of bitch ass "hip hop artists" that end up just being R&B Faggots who couldn't get a label signed if they sucked everyone's dick in the company.

Because I'm trying to find artists I have not heard about and discover new music. I know and have heard almost every rap musician in the main stream. And thanks captain obvious not all underground artists are good.

Aesop Rock is cool, but for most people it takes some getting used to. Atmosphere's Sad Clown Bad Dub 7 is an excellent album. I like the Cool Kids a lot, but they're more mainstream now. All of the Blackalicious albums are great. The FELT albums are good (Slug and Murs). The Jake One album White Van Music is great. MF DOOM is addicting, never get tired of him

No. Because there is some main stream that isn't bad. Such as A Tribe Called Quest. I would NOT call them underground, by far. Nearly everyone has heard 'Can I Kick It?' Yet they are one of the most influential (and in my opinion, talented) Hip Hop artist, just short of Eric B & Rakim.
STFU, you have no idea what you're talking about.

It doesn't bother me. The implications do. As if all the "ones who made it" aren't good enough. Not to mention it automatically disclaims some of the most talented people of the Hip-Hop scene.

I already stated that I have heard the mainstream and would like to broaden my horizon of music but you cannot comprehend that. If I just wanted good hip hop music I would have made a thread stated Give me some good hip hop music and then I would have gotten a shit load of suggestions of music I already have.
