I have a 24" Samsung monitor. It's an LCD, so the refresh rate's slow. (60hz) But, it's still a dope monitor. Great quality.
I then have a 28" tube TV. It's an "SDTV." (AKA it can take in HDTV inputs, but it's not HDTV.) Anyway, it's decent quality. The plus side of the TV is that it's in front of my bed.
So here are my options:
I can get two female CAT-5 connections, and wire them so that I can plug one into my computer, and one into my TV, then run a CAT-5 cable (Ethernet cable) to my TV whenever I want to watch a movie. I have a lot of CAT-5 cables laying around, so it's not a big deal, in terms of expense. I'd just have to solder it all. Then I could lay back in my bed, and watch a movie.
Second option, which is easier:
I can lay long way and watch the movies on my computer. The pros of this is the best quality possible, my speakers would all be aimed toward my bed already, so the sound imaging would be decent, and I would have sub-duty.
The con is that I could only watch it with max, one other person. And even still, it wouldn't be too comfortable. (I have a futon.)
Here's a picture for reference of room:

P.S. I got a different futon than the one posted. My futon goes completely flat.
I want to make the speaker wires long and make a REAL 5.1 system. (I.E. one speaker in each corner.
What do you suggest? Pole will be poastd.
