Just using them as signal tubes is kind of gimmicky in the ones I've heard (kind of like those useless "tube buffers" everybody raves about), but I'd like to hear the Milberts, or Tru Copper, or DD...the PA stage is tubed in those.

I have doubts that the dayton makes a solid 1000 but it gets decently close. It moves the shit out of my 8x 15s. If you need more power than that, then the industry forces you into a rack setup.
