Mr Brooks was odd, I did not think the movie was made into what it could have out of the story. I would not say it was bad but I think the story itself had it been produced better could have provided a much better flick.

The Wrestler sucked, other than getting to see that chicks tits I am sure most of us fapped to growing up again I think the movie was shit and could have been better but it was probably mostly geared to get wrestling heads into the theaters which I am sure it did.

Ending both sucked and was awesome at the same time, awesome because he fucking died doing what he loved and realized he had nothing else. Sucked because I was hoping he would start banging that chick and live happily ever after.

It's been a while since I saw Mr. Brooks, but I liked it.

The Wrestler was waaaay overhyped. Honestly, if you gave any person of reasonable intelligence the general theme and the task of writing a storyline they could probably come up with a fairly close outline that was about the same thing within a couple of hours. There really was not much to the film.

Were you honestly expecting The Wrestler to be a fucking masterpiece epic? Holy shit, it had Mickey Rourke in it for Christ's sake. That alone should have given you the clue of what caliber movie it was going to be.

I thought The Wrestler was really good, great character development throughout the film and refreshing ending where the lead actor didn't get the girl. Of course a lot of people didn't like it because it wasn't a feel good film, it was too depressing for them to watch the lead characters struggling to get through life because of their own fears to move onto something else.

Other than that (and Marisa Tomei, of course)...eh.

I thought The Wrestler was a pretty good movie, nothing spectacular, but a good watch. I did grow up as a wrestling fan, and I think they did an excellent job portraying Rourke as a washed-up wrestler with nothing to fall back on, which is the story of many past wrestlers.
