You know the songs I'm talking about (I hope :hide:) , post em up!
My reason for this thread which people may not care about but I'll say it anyway:
Music always played a huge part in my life, and in my opinion a huge factor a few years back when I lost 70 pounds to my goal weight of 175. Over the course of a few years, I've gained back a shitload of weight, and I need to get in the zone again. It may be pathetic that I need headphones to my ears the majority of the time to keep me motivated, but it works :crap: Anyway, help me out if ya can! Rock/Hip Hop/Anything..

The most non-pathetic thing I have heard this week man.
Disturbed - I'm alive
Tool - Third eye
Sunny Day Real Estate - Every Shining time you arrive
Garth Brooks - Standing outside the fire
Matchbox 20 -Bright lights
Metallica - Whiskey in the Jar
NoFx - The Decline
A perfect circle - Thinking of you/Weak and Powerless
Sixx A.M. - Dead Man's Ballet
Smashing Pumpkins - Disarm
Staind - It's been awhile
STP - Interstate love song AND Vasoline
X-exutioners - its going down
I could really go on and on and on and on
Music is always there with me. It is literally in everything I do.
Great thread too! Someone give this guy some rep, because I can't :(

Puscifer - Momma Sed
This is a great song...I like to listen to this kinda music while riding...Just laid back..if I listen to hard or rap or anything like that I have a tendancy to speed
wake up son o' mine
momma got somethin' to tell you
changes come
life will have its way
with your pride, son
take it like a man
hang on son o' mine
a storm is blowin' up your horizon
changes come
keep your dignity
take the high road
take it like a man
listen up son o' mine
momma got something to tell you
all about growin' pains
life will pound away
where the light don't shine, son
take it like a man
suck it up son o' mine
thunder blowin' up your horizon
changes come (changes come)
keep your dignity (keep your dignity)
take the high road (take the high road)
take it like a man (take it like a man)
momma said like the rain
(this too shall pass)
like a kidney stone
(this too shall pass)
it's just a broken heart, son
this pain will pass away

Almost everything by Bob Marley. His music has gotten me through countless times.

To relax
Sublime
311
Bob Marley
listen to that to get your mind off of shit
then hit up some great Classic Rock hits, although they could be cheesy, they usually work.
If your into it, there's some upbeat Techno out there (?)
Get into your car, pick a direction, drive, listen, and sing to whatever you like.

I realized today that the songs that really pump me up don't necessarily do so just because of what the song is like, most of them are because of what they remind me of.
I'm a gymnast, flame if you want but im not gay and most aren't either, its a harder sport than most people could ever do, and it definitely takes music to get me in the zone to go for shit that could kill me.

I actually have a lot of respect for gymnasts... that shiz is hard. Every now and then I practice my hand stands and what not. I can do a minute long hand stand on most days... I haven't been brave enough to try back flips / front flips. I'll get there eventually.

Cool man that's not too bad. Yeah a lot of shit is scary as fuck to try, and it's easy to get mental about it.

Yeah. I'm sure my body can do it... it's just landing flat on my face or back isn't too appealing.

Yeah simple stuff like that isn't that hard, just find some way to practice doing it that's not scary, of find someone that can spot you. Once you get the feeling for it you'll have no problem.
