A couple years ago I was RBWI (riding bike while intoxicated) and I crushed my bursa and generally jacked up my left shoulder. Now, every so often it just gets sore and weak on me. When it first happened I would apply pressure to the muscle's in my upper left arm (where they meet the shoulder) and they would be very tender. I could keep the pressure on and make them release and that would help my shoulder pain. I found all that stuff out because I went to an acupressure professional at a doctors office and she showed me how to do it on my own (ya it's pretty simple).
In the last week, it started happening again, lots of shoulder pain and weakness; and pulling all the way up the left side of my neck. I could not find tender spots on my upper arm, so I've had a hard time fixing it. Today I found the source, it's actually in my arm pit basically behind my upper lat and into the base of my tricep. It's really weird how the muscle systems are inter-related.
Does anyone hare use acupressure to heal from weight lifting?
