I want to make these. Think it would be horribly hard?
Second, running 200X2 right now...looking at a 40X2 amp. Obviously totally different from solid state to tube, will I see considerable drops in output or does the tech make it so it won't be like this?
Teach me oh great ones.

It would be incredibly hard to do well. Making everything match up evenly and not getting too much silicone / glue on the outer glass. IMO: Not worth it.
However, I think the first pane would be about 5-1/2" or so.

Hrm, I was thinking those are 7" drivers, not 5" but looking up the Raal tweeters, which are 3.5" width, you sir are correct.
If I could get the widths figured out, I'm not thinking this would be horribly difficult (as far as the edges are concerned with flush) as I have access to CAD programmers as well as 5-axis CNC machines, lathes and all the fun shit you could need.
Maybe I'll try monitors first (just cut the design in half).
I'll find the blown up schematic online somewhere

Is that glass or acyrlic?

Glass 3/4 thick at that.
Almost thinking of doing a test run using plexi/acrylic
Part of me really wants to try this, the other half just thinks that I should get over it and move on

It would be cool... but expensive... and the glass might break while machining it. Which is a bitch. That's my current problem with trying to make a protein skimmer for my fish tank. Glass keeps fucking breaking on the bottles I'm trying to use.

I think it can be water jet cut. I use to have blank flange plates cut at a water jet place in addison and they had big chunks of glass IIRC once.

I just looked, and yes you can cut glass with waterjets. You might find a place close to you and ask them about how someone would go about building an enclosure. It's likely they know of resources, maybe not for a speaker enclosure, but an enclosure in general, art, etc. They should know what their materials are capable of.

Won't glass ring? They look nice though, but I didn't think glass was a good material to make cabinets with.

Good question, I thought it may be a PR when I first seen that on the bottom.

I'm actually looking at the black part on the metal of the vertical trim piece towards the right.

You better update the waterfall thread before you start any new projects.

Thing at the bottom could be for resonance issues.
Personally i think glass shit looks like it came out of a rich negro's house back in the 80's/90's

My company has a waterjet cutter. I believe at 50 or 60,000 psi. Not the biggest baddest, but would do the job.
I have actually lost interest in those LOL...for a second, it sounded like a sweet ass plan. To get speakers that I need for it would be around 1,000 per side.

Tell me about it :P Wife has to finish caulking the bamboo (wow does that sound pornish) that will hold the water before dumping down the front. Lighting is here, I need to buy more as the solar lights just don't give enough of the "umph" needed.
