E46 M3, 135i, 335i. Had a debate with a friend of mine and I'm just curious to see what you guys would go with.

For what, though? Daily driver? Race car? If so, straight line or circuit?
For DD, I'd pick The M3, for a straight line, I'd pick the 335i, for circuit I'd pick 135i.

I picked the E46 M3 as my DD 'cause E46 are the rawest. Well, not really, The E36 M3 is the rawest.

Why the M3 for DD? I figured that would be the worst as a DD.

Good answer.
My pick would be the 135i. It just seems like a mix between the M3 and the 335i.

Why would anyone choose anything but the M3 unless you are a feg and want a sedan and I believe they are making a M3 sedan now also/thread

You already know I'm :gay: so I would do a sedan lol. The 135 is only a coupe. The 335i is coupe or sedan.
And I'm only talking about the older M3 since it is closer in price. 60k for a new M3 is FTL. I'd take one in a heartbeat if I had the cash though..

I'm 22 and thank you for saying something older than 15 like everyone else does!
I have a decent job and a fiance that helps so I could actually afford one of them. I don't really plan on buying a new car for AT LEAST another year. Longer if my Camry doesn't cost much to keep it going.
This is more of a debate on which is a better car I had with a friend than which I'm going to get.

I find it funny that your fiance is the main bread winner in your relationship.
It's like she's the dude and you're the chick.
Do you also cook and clean up after her?

Why would anyone in their right mind not take the M3 out of those listed?
Id love to have an M5. The 3 series is too tiny for me, but the M3s are still some serious cars. Ive driven a brand new one a couple times, its fast as hell.

i'd get the 335i coupe. they are my favorite. just go chip it and beat M3's. and you should slam it on it's nuts.

For DD, I'd pick The M3, for a straight line, I'd pick the 335i, for circuit I'd pick 135i. The 135 has the same engine as the 335 in a lighter car. Why yould you take the 335 for straight line performance then?
I would go M3, 135i, 335i

or with the money you save by getting the M3, you could turbo it so its not n/a vs. turbo car. Then see what happens to that chipped 335.

your turbo kit is. :)
to be honest i just think the 335 is way sexier than the e46 M3. and i'm sure it gets going plenty fast for me. i've never driven it so i cant really comment, but i have to believe it's just fine. its not like i'd go track it or anything.

335, hands down.
Why? 335 doesn't cost much more than a 135 at all, you sacrifice a sliver of the performance but get a much more practical and IMO more attractive car. You can fit your friends comfortably, have a real trunk, etc. etc.
Not to mention the 335 can keep up with the M3 just fine, much more low end torque too.
If money wasn't an issue, I'd go with the M3 just because I really like them. No certain reason, but like the way they look.
