I just got myself some Amplified Creatine 189. I'm supposed to take 2 pills daily and get jacked. :gay:
I've heard things about creatine where you need to drink hella water etc..
Can someone who knows what they are talking about give me some info on what kinds of things i should do differently while taking these pills? like drink extra water etc..
Thanks. :clap::jizz::swole::saladtoss::gayfight::weakshit::dance::coolstory::easy:

All you really needed was the regular, cheap Creatine Monohydrate. ;) But anyway since you already bought this, take 5g worth before, during or after your workout. (I take it during) Some people cycle it (2months on, 2 weeks off), but it honestly doesn't matter. Just make sure to drink a gallon of water each and every day.

As stated above save your money and just get the reg 100% mono and drink plenty of water. You can find it for stupid cheap online.
O and don't even bother with the loading phase. You can do it once to start out with the first time but after that just take 2-5 grams a day.

It improved my strength noticeably the first few months I was on it. I now cycle on and off it..Can't really tell a difference anymore anyways.

I get it from a supplier for my brother and friends they are ordering up protein next. My ice cream stabilizer ingredient supplier has great prices.

i would get the cheap shit, but i really don't enjoy the protein drinks, and can't imagine creatine being any better, so i figured pills would do the trick. it was only 40 bucks for 120 pills anyway.
I've had hella water so far today and feel good so far. i felt extra jacked yesterday after taking the pills for the first time too. maybe that's just mental though haha.

my brother has a capsule maker and with me ordering stuff for him his costs are way down now for his stuff. some stuff I get for free because I just ask for a sample from my supplier and get 20-30 grams of whatever for free. but to buy anything I need a few kilos per order. the capsule maker works good and he just makes them while watching tv and then make little custom concoctions of everything he wants. the creatine I think he fills by hand because the capsules he uses for those are to big for the little machine. the machine was about 20 bucks.

Get ON whey protein for your drinks..Mixes great and doesn't taste that bad with water.
Creatine has no taste...Some of the cheaper stuff you buy may not dissolve well though and you are left with a "sand" texture.
Heres what I'm using now.

Mixes great. Cheap. Vitaminshoppe had a sell where if you bought one of their brand products, you got another half off.. So i got like 4 pounds of creatine for $30. That will last A WHILE.

Creatine does no get you jacked. It will give you more energy for short burst activities 1-10seconds if there is not already enough creatine in your diet.

Meh, personally all I've noticed with creatine (5 years ago when I took it) was water retention. 0 strength increase for me (i'm pretty high up there in stamina as it is). Sure you blow up in size, but as soon as your off, it all goes away. Protein, fish oil, tribulus (give it a try sometime, yeah, makes you horny but helps with growth too) a vitamin if you don't eat right, proper diet and rest, and lift your ass off = size, strength, etc.
Of course, I'm not honestly going for looks at all. My personal goals are for me only, not really out to impress anyone (not saying you are, but many products make you appear bigger, but you are no stronger than originally)

yeah i'm trying to get stronger and look good. I'm not like trying to be a huge douche trying to get ripped to pick up tons of ladies or anything, i more just want to do it for myself if that makes any sense...
i've been skinny all of my life (except when i was a seriously fat toddler) and i've been lifting since september to get bigger. pretty happy so far, but i'm hitting some barriers and am just trying to break them. and my bench is really shitty for some reason. :(:loco:

Give me your stats, if you don't mind. Height/weight/frame type/
You sound like me in some ways when I started lifting. I am 5'10" (ish) was really light 165-170?? maybe less, very thin framed. Also, I was really having problems on bench too. Almost never did it because I would struggle at 135.
Read some of the posts on here and check out bodybuilding.com, great resources. Junior, when he is around, can give you some GREAT info too. This sounds like a "duh" statement, but eat man. No, I don't mean, grab some food and don't miss meals, I mean EAT. Try to stay with lean healthy foods, but don't be afraid to add some fat. Get your body weight up (typically called "bulking") and then shred it down. Your body already knows how to be thin, gaining weight will be the issue. I always had a mental block about getting stomach fat because then, in my mind, I was really small armed, small legged, and fat! Truth is you really need some stored energy so that when your body is doing its thing, it has reserves. So make sure to get food in heavy.
As far as bench goes, it really is more technique. Hands too far out, you are attempting butterflies with a straight bar (go ahead and try those with about 40 lbs bells and see how it goes lol) too far in and you are stressing your forearms, which most likely are not up for the task (yet). Now many places say right at your shoulders or slightly out. It is very user dependent, try a few things. Don't be afraid to fail (even if you think the weight is low). As soon as you can block out the people around you and stop thinking "i'm going to look stupid failing at 185, whatever, the more you will gain. one of my routines has me failing at 135 on bench. How embarrassing that is! I mean I'm a decently sized guy, and I have someone pulling this weight of me like I'm working on 405. Truth is, I've already done 30-50 reps and its my last set, but I just don't have time nor do I care to explain it to those around me.
Last thing that really has helped me is to focus on what range of the exercise I am doing. I'll go with bench again as I can appreciate wanting to have a half-way decent bench. The "positive" press of bench is far easier than anything below your negative (basically anything below your arms at 90 degrees (L)). To allow your body to start becoming used to higher weights, and to eliminate the mental aspects of large numbers, put some runners in a cage that only allow you to start the lift at a point where your elbows are already above your chest. This is hard to explain. You are on a bench, in a squat cage, with metal bars holding the bar above you. The key here is that you can't reach your negative, you can put more weight because weaker muscles are not able to solely have to engage, and you lose the mental block of going "oh shit this is 225 (whatever the number is), i can't do this, I'm going to drop it" So you put the weight, lift off, arms to extension (don't lock) slowly bring it down. Allow it to sit on the runners again and repeat. You do not want to let it hit the bars to come back up as the energy from the bars springs it back up. Also, if you horribly fail, just drop it, it isn't going anywhere.

I am 6'0" 155lbs thin framed?
My weight is really low but I don't look like THAT much of a pussy. I've actually been told by some friends that i hadn't seen in a while that i'm getting pretty big. I think now it looks like i have more of an athletic build.
I always eat a shit ton of food. I eat all kinds of stuff some good for me some considered junk food. I don't put on any weight it seems, although i have made some gains since around september. (about 8 pounds gained).
Right now i usually bench around 145 for 3 sets of 6. i obviously change it up for some muscle confusion, but that gives a gauge of how weak my bench is lol. It's not like i'm really scared to try more weight, it's just that I can't seem to get over the hump at 145. I've really been changing things up lately doing dumbbell benching and heavier and lighter sets so hopefully that will help. Maybe this creatine will help me grow a pair too, or at least have the placebo effect lol.
Thanks for the suggestions. +1

Yeah, you are pretty thin. Something to remember though, you are 155 so benching 145 isn't really bad at all. I mean, you are almost to body weight. You work out alone? Do you have someone who can spot?
Muscle confusion does help, mixing it up too. You have to find what your body reacts to for gains. Trying adding a single extra meal but keeping all the other meals at the same time (do try to eat around the same time each day). Sounds stupid, but go to wal-mart or kroger or whatever and buy a 10 pack of cliff builder bars or cliff bars or some sort of energy bar (i like those because they are organic) Set your cell to go off at like 3am, get up, eat the bar, drink a bunch of water, go back to bed. Eat again when you wake up at whatever time (even if you don't feel hungry). See if that adds any weight. 7 days should tell you.
Went off topic lol....if you have a spotter. get on the bench and load both sides with 10's. You want to go beyond your current 145 to whatever you can max minus 10 or 20 lbs. So lets say 165. So put 6 10's on each side for a total of 165. Even if you press that with ease, do NOT do more than one rep. Unhook, bring it down sloooow (control the weight, don't let gravity do it) and back up. Have your spotter pull 1 10 from each side (now at 145) press for 5, have him remove 1 10 from each side (now at 125) press for 5 and so on and so on, until either A. you cannot move it (now you may understand my failing at almost nothing on the bar) or until you are left with a bar and reps. If you end up with the bar only, next time add 5lbs to each side.
Also, if you feel like you are pushing too quickly trying to fly through the reps, get the biggest shoulder pad you can find in the gym and lay it on your chest, or if your chest isn't big enough to hold it in place, under your shirt. What will happen is you lose the ability to bounce the bar off your pecks and the foam basically stops the momentum.

yeah unfortunately i workout alone. my friends are unreliable when it comes to lifting and i feel i get alot more done without them. they just want to fuck around and play basketball. shit's weak.
I feel you on the burnouts though. i do burnouts for my biceps every once in a while and it gets pretty wild. i might have to go check out some of these meal bars to add some stuff to my diet.
I may have to try this foam on the chest too. the other day when i benched, i think i bruised a rib because i came down too quickly lol.
I've promised myself that once school is over (this thursday) i'm going to get into a good leg routine as well. i've been a big pussy when it comes to legs so i'm going to grow a pair and go for it. hopefully that will help my body weight and possibly allow me to handle more weight in other lifts like my bench.

Hey pl8er, thanks for the plug. Sorry I haven't been around in a while. There are 4 shows around here coming up in the next month or so, so I have a lot of panicking clients coming out of my ass. Along with that, Markus Ruhl is coming to town here in the beginning on June, so I'm taking care of stuff for that, and trying to do two a day training sessions myself before I have to start dieting for my show. I always can be reached by e-mail though if anyone wants some help or advice though at junioralberta@hotmail.com. Love to help out where I can.

Good advice deerhunt. How's your routine treating you?
Legs are the largest body part you have. They also hold the most testosterone out of any body part. When you work them out, you release that test and your whole body reaps the benefits of it.

Hi, my name is Justin. After taking Tribulus without any other changes to my diet or routine, I gained 5lbs ;)
Now you have a documented case.
I really did try it out after a guy at the gym told me about it. Now, the recommended dosage, throw that right out the window. I take (took...currently not on it while cutting down) 2 in the morning 1 when I get home and 2 at night.
It is a pretty big debate online though. You will find both. I think the safest route here is to either say "bah, F that, or just give it a try" I know at puritan (www.puritan.com), you can get plain jane tribulus CHEAP (which is what I have always used.) Like I said, I've noticed gains and changes, will you? Each person is different so it really depends.
Its 2 bottles for 10 bucks or 5 bottles for 20 on puritan, so its not like a huge chunk-o-cash. But honestly, all my suggestions are just that suggestions.

I just don't get how it could when it's not even a prohormone, wikipedia told me that it's just a common weed. Now I do remember reading a couple published studies on bb.com that concluded that tribulus had no effect on test levels and strength. But I can't search for shit on that forum  but I'll look for it tomorrow.

Creatine AKG, Creatine Ethyl Ester HCl,Creatine Gluconate,Creatine Pyruvate, Disodium Creatine Phosphate Is there anything special about these types of creatine? my ingredient supplier has these ones too. the monohydrate is what everyone orders but do the others absorb better?
TRUE creatine ethyl ester (which is "esterized") is absorbed more easily in the body, allowing for lower dosage, minimal side effects, and greater benefit. Because it is absorbed more easily, less of this creatine turns into creatinine which is good because creatinine is useless (and IIRC hard on the liver). I can't remember my facts about Creatine AKG (which stands for Alpha Ketoglutarate in case you were wondering), but I believe it is supposed to be a pretty good form of creatine.

*EDIT* he did mention gaining mass, but that is very subjective. I know many people whose body weight is +/- 7lbs in the same day. Weight is about as reliable a variable as the "seat of the butt" dyno is for measuring HP gains with bolt-ons...

I can't seem to locate the direct studies themselves, but I found a bb.com writer that used the articles that I was trying to find as his sources.

Tribulus and Testosterone
A lot of people have asked my why I'm such a fan of prohormones and why I absolutely abhor stacked products that include other products like tribulus. Well, prohormones are as anabolic as they get because they are the only supplements currently available that can raise hormonal levels to super-physiological heights. To maintain those levels you need to take them in several doses spread thoughout the day. By using sub par doses, bad stacks and a whole host of other products like chrysin (which inhibits the actions of prohormones) and tribulus make it hard to use these products more than once or twice a day.
I simply don't believe its right to stack a cap full of useless materials and sell it for the same price when you can get better results just by filling the cap with the prohormone only for the same price. Most companies just add this stuff to show off their superior ingredient list instead of trying to show of the superior gains their product would have if they had used only one or two of those products in the right dose. For this part I limit myself to Tribulus. Why add tribulus? Well supposedly it raises testosterone levels by stimulating LH release. Trib has been used for centuries, as have other steroidal saponins, as libido boosters. In other words they can give you an erection. Since testosterone is a sex hormone most people associate getting a boner with high test levels. But does tribulus really raise testosterone? According to the clinical evidence, the answer is a resounding NO.
In one study, tribulus did not elevate serum testosterone¹. In another study tribulus supplementation had no effect on body composition or muscular strength². As for the studies supporting the use of steroidal saponins, only two came up. Both were conducted on rats (both of these are done on trained athletes) and one of them was in Russian. I have to admit defeat here as my Russian is not that good and no summary was available. So from this we can draw the conclusion that if you are a bit older and have trouble "getting it up", then tribulus may be for you, but for the athletes looking for real gains from this supplementation, it's a useless cap filler.

;) I was waiting for you to re-read it.
Knowing many people can also be subjective. If you want to test results of non-dangerous things, test them on yourself. For the last month I have been fluctuating weight from 201 to 203. That is really how closely monitored my intake and weight are. Actually, if you look back on the report I ran off my lifestyles lifecenter that I use at the gym, minus the day I was holding my stupid gym bag under me not thinking, you can see how controlled my weight is.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l156/sweets4ever48/justin/weights.jpg
Again, I'm not saying go get tribulus its the best thing in the history of bodybuilding. I'm saying I took it, have taken it, will take it again. It helps me. Is it placebo? Hell, maybe protein is for me too, I just know that I lift harder therefor make better gains. Still, it works better for me than creatine ever did. At least it was real weight, not water retention.

Nice to see that you didn't just pull your "5 lbs" out of your ass and actually have some data to back it up, although it doesnt address Test Levels, there is some weight gain. And IMO, most of the "bloating" comes from shitty creatine. I have personally experienced no bloating with high grade creatine, and have felt (via seat of butt dyno) stronger in the gym on days i take creatine versus days I do not. However I do not notice any weight gains from "water retention" with creatine (im a hard gainer), only (possibly perceived) strength gains

I get it from a supplier for my brother and friends they are ordering up protein next. My ice cream stabilizer ingredient supplier has great prices.
i get a good deal on it I have been ordering from them fro over ten years, they used to be a small company but now are fraking huge. i get caffeine and anything else you can think of. I think a protein order is coming up in a month or so if anyone wants in.
Nice, I just read where whey prices on the market are the lowest in years. In high school I remember you could buy a tub of ON whey for way cheaper than it is now, (used to be $30 for 5lb?) you would think they would lower it back to where it was before the whey price surge a couple years ago, but nope they're way too greedy. Wonder what the profit margins are for these companies. http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/117/greedy.gif I bet someone with the money to buy materials in bulk could turn a really good profit even if your supplements were shitty or worthless because as long as you have a flashy label, stupid teenage kids will drop the money for it.

well after fourth of july is the protein order so if you want in you can. my little brother splits it up after I order it. all done on a stainless steel table in a restaurant so it is a clean area not just a shmuck in a kitchen. the prices are always cost then whatever he takes aside for himself for the work of splitting it up. no cash needed until it is about to ship.

Well I think I already have enough protein for the rest of the year and my gf is pissed that I had to store a couple tubs at her place, but thanks for the offer. I'll give you some postive rep, even though I doubt it will help your deep red situation.

Keep in mind companies need money for R&D, Marketing, etc. etc. as well. Websites like bodybuilding.com usually sell thing below wholesale, and sometimes only a few dollars above their cost. GNC's prices are so high because they have a very lenient return policy (which costs them money).
There also ARE companies that offered bare-bones Whey & Casein Protein for the cheapies, but it has no flavoring or anything else. If you search, you can probably find it

Yea, but when whey on the market is 3x cheaper per pound than it was back in 2007, yet the price remains the same from companies, it sure seems quite sketchy. And I'm sure most companies don't even make most of their money off whey or creatine, I'm sure vitamins, N.O. pre-workout products, MRPs, "fat burners" and all those fake testosterone boosters make them a crap ton more than they cost to make. All I'm saying is that it would be hard not to make $$$ if you were to open a supplement company.

that is so true the lack of regulation, My friend and I came out with one product that fucked you up good the ingredient is illegal now but good god the late 90's where great for that market. god i can't even remember the name of that stuff it was a liquid bottled in those nalgene type bottles with the large shotglass type tops. It was right after GHB was made illegal then there was a year or so before our product got banned. now you can still get the stuff but its not ok for human consumption.

I was not there they can to my friend apt. we had a little office that you rent a mailbox at and can use a room at for a while. That is as big as that operation ever got. Most everything was sent directly to the contract manufacturer and made mixed by them bottled and shipped to the customers direct from them. It was your typical nutritional supplement deal, but our stuff got you wasted and you work up ready to rock the next day.
