I didn't even ask. But I believe that the hardware would have easily been over 100 grand. Quarter million most likely.

One of my buddies works for a home theater company.

They were doing an install for a house up in the north (rich) suburbs of chicago. Apparently this guy was/is a big indy racing team person.

Upwards of $2 million this guy spent on his home theater/automation. They have been working on this house for a couple YEARS, that's how much shit they are doing.

I am glad he was shooting a 3 pointer and not a free throw.

pl8er
05-24-2009, 03:04 PM
This one wasn't THAT expensive (compared to the 2 million one mentioned). I called and asked and it was less than 500,000. Basically the hardware was paid for and all installation work was free (or so that is how it was said) but he endorsed the place. Also, I guess the cavs will get some sort of work done through them as well. So it ends up being a BIG deal for this company.

Met him in highschool near the locker rooms in the Value City arena... For the state championship game, more people attended our D-III state championship game than his D-II or the D-I

this, though he has been shooting them better this year. game 4's free throws for him were clutch, even though the last one rattled in

He did miss 4 other free throws (a couple in the 4th) and had 8 turnovers. Not a clutch performance, in my opinion.

People need to settle down with their excitement for LeBron.

the turnovers were unacceptable. but his free throw shooting has gotten alot better then previous seasons. his shot choices are sometimes bad, but when the only other good player on your team is mo williams, you gotta do most the work.

he does not have the support around him, that a player of his level needs. hes scoring 43% of his teams points in the playoffs. does that mean hes a ballhog? no, he needs to because the only other person that could really step up offensively...fairly consistently...is mo williams. who hasnt really done that this series.

am i on the lebron bandwagon, sometimes, but he needs a better supporting cast then he has, to really get anywhere consistently and on a pure team effort, not individual talent

I threw my remote at the dam wall yesterday after they gave up that huge lead. They came back but there going to give me heart problems.

Now I watched the magic aginst the Celtics and they couldn't hit the 3's like they are aginst the cavs. I hope they got that out of there system cuz we need to win!!!!

Yeah, of course people are going to say yet again that the reason they lost was because he doesn't have enough support. BS, in my opinion.

They will not win until they revamp their offense and he becomes much better fundamentally.

He doesn't have anyone to make him better. I just hope his talent is still good when his experience gets up. He still makes too many small mistakes when the stakes are high. But when he's on, he's unstoppable.

Volpone

In my opinion, the problem is that their offensive game, especially in the 3rd and 4th quarters, is too predicated on LeBron James. I agree that he's unstoppable when he's on, but aside from that I think he really does not gel with the rest of his team mates. Despite his assist totals, the team is hurt more when he's trying to score a lot than when he involves them all game long.

Cleveland had the talent to beat Orlando easily, but not the execution, and part of that blame belongs to Brown, as well. They couldn't do anything against Orlando's size other than let LeBron try to break Orlando down.

I do not like his shot selection, ball handling (travelling), or free throw shooting, but in 3-4 years, he could be a truly amazing basketball player.

Brown just does not make any in-game adjustments that help the team.

I was thinking that when I saw Kobe play the other night. He doesn't have the talent he did 4 or 5 years ago, but he plays better. He still whines all the time, but the NBA officiating seems to reward such behavior.
