Thats a pretty good deal, I like the finish on the HP's better than my Asus. Only thing I hate is the mouse layout the buttons are on the left and right of the trackpad.
You are also only saving about $50 bucks I think too, I just link my Asus to my BB with bluetooth, if your phone does not have bluetooth you can do the same thing with a usb cable.

I think they will keep dropping, when it's $50 it will be worth it with a contract if you plan on staying with a company that long.
I am out of my t-mobile contract and happy as hell. It's just nice to have the freedom if I want to move to another service I can without paying $175 per line (I have 3 lines.)

Meh, Dell had a better deal with their mini.
Theirs was $99 with a 2 year contract with AT&T.
i'd say go ahead and buy my acer 8.9" mini w/ no contract for 325 shipped.

I haven't had a contract in years. Thinking of going with verizon, but I like sim cards.

I wanted an HP but when the factory recertified Acer Aspire One 8.9" came out on CompUsa for 202 shipped I couldn't pass it up... 1 gb of ram, xp, 120gb hd, webcam etc. I thought the screen was going to be too small, but it's very usable especially for school and internet browsing and such around the house and to other places which is all I'll use it for. The one thing I hate on the Acer that is also on the HP is the mouse buttons. I can't seem to get used to the buttons on the sides, rather than below. Eh, I'll give it some more time though.
CompUSA.com also has the 160gb version of the Aspire One for sale for like 222 shipped right now if you're interested.
225 and you got a deal.
wish i could man.

Were using those at our warehouse instead of buying a 1200 dollar handheld scanner. They don't have the moble broadband but I was supprized how fast they were. The only thing verizon might get you on is if you use on of those your going to use a lot more data then a cell phone. You may go over the data limits and then they rape you.
