the bars were funky. Was really the only complaint.
It can be fully auto or thumb shift.

He is single. 39, no kids and makes 32 an hour. He married a 20yo when he was 32. Lasted 2 years until he figured out she was just spending his money.

I am guessing the 'crossover' part of it means it has comfort like a chopper or 'normal' bike and still drives kind of like a street bike which are horribly uncomfortable.
Pretty badass IMO.
Don't laugh but I was looking at Burgman scooters a while back and those are also auto /w the shifter if you want to use it.. If I am on anything with two wheels the least amount of shit I have to worry about the better.

If youve ever ridden a Rincon auto its exactly the same. Full auto or left thumb shift.

I have only rode 2 street bikes, mine and a GSXR750.
Wish I still had the dirt bike though

You are young. It'll wear off. This bike is a cruiser with the sport looks. No wheelies here.

Oh I am not at all in to stunts and weelies, but for fast corners and shit clutch work and shifting more than one gear up or down is key.

wow yea, that really is weird looking. Is it supposed to just be a rocket/cruiser mix or what?
My dad was amazed by those can-am things. Every time he sees a bike he tells me about the weird three wheeled one he saw.

It's innovative. That's the key. It's something new.
I like it. Although i still like stick shifts, even if they're slower than the new gens of autos.

i would much rather have a t-rex
IMHO auto's on bikes are a no-no and they will lead to lazy, easily distracted riders that will live short lives.

Indeed, darwinism at its finest.
"I want a motorcycle, but I want something so simple that literally anyone can do it..."
I can see both sides of it, I can see where an auto bike would be nice and simple to ride. But people dont typically buy motorcycles for simplicity, and personally if I am going to be that exposed, I want to be as connected to what I am doing as possible, and that means knowing everything going on around me and under me.

Never saw this thread before, those DN-01's are weird as hell. Seems like a cross between a scooter and a sport bike.
Also automatics are nothing new on bikes, Honda introduced an automatic on the 1976 CB780A.
The 2006- Yamaha FJR1300AE also had an automatic.
The FJR1300AE/AS model features an electronic clutch, which Yamaha calls YCC-S (Yamaha Chip Controlled-Shift). This system is a five-speed sequential manual gearbox with a computer controlled clutch that dispenses with the conventional clutch lever. These models have no lever on the left bar and instead have a mountain-bike style shifter operated with thumb and index finger. Gear shifts are completed in around 0.2 seconds. The conventional foot shifter may be used simultaneously. The gearbox pattern is also unconventional in that neutral is at the bottom end of the range, otherwise the gearbox is identical to the A model. The ECU automatically controls the robotic clutch and ignition timing to ensure smooth gear shifting and will actuate the clutch at standstill. Stalling the engine is not possible.
