First, the new skin looks great. Very fluid. It is about 4x faster than 9.64, and I don't have to keep refreshing the page for the latest posts to come up (used to come up blank until I refreshed). I'll try downloading a torrent and see if they optimized that too.
If anyone uses Opera and wants to upgrade, or if you just want to try it, You can get it here: http://www.opera.com/browser/next/

To many sites have issues being rendered in Opera due to shitty coding (on the sites not Opera)
I do however use it on my BB, with FF I don't really have a need for another browser.

I use Opera on my phone as well. I just put the new Skyfire on my phone and wow, talk about FAST. Especially with pages with a lot of images and such. Blazes through them faster than opera. Engadget regular site loads almost as fast as the mobile site! The UI kinda sucks though, it's nice to have as an additional browser.
As for Opera on my PC, does it have the same issues Chrome has in rendering some pages? I really would like to use Chrome as my default, but some pages don't work in it that I need.
When I opened up opera today it had me download an update for opera10 or something. Nothing seems different do you know if I still have to do something to install it. It does seem to be going a lot faster so maybe it did change something.

When was the last time you've used Chrome? Google updates it on the fly. It renders everything IE does for me. If it had a torrent downloader like Opera does, I'd use it for my default.

It installs as a separate install instead of an update since its still a beta. Look for another Opera version on your machine.

I know this. It doesn't work. It was a problem with version 9.64. It didn't do that in 9.63.

I am not experiencing this problem. Perhaps it's not the browser?

BTW, torrent download speed is about the same.

:wat:
Work sites rarely ever work. They are only coded with IE in mind since that is the standard in most corporate functions. I use Chrome for the one at my job and it works fine.
