i'm 160 and hit 180 on the bench press. with 90lb db's and it was my forth set. i was able to get them up 4 times.

Not bad at all, very nice actually. How did you have your feet planted? Try working less weight (spotted) and hold your legs up in the air and crossed to focus solely on your chest.

feet planted on the floor. as far puttin my legs up in the air, i'm always scared i'm tip and fall to the side. i did a new/old technique tonight. when the weight comes down, i raise my head up off the bench. when pressing the weight back up, i put the head back on the bench. i wish i could keep my back flatter too

Which is why a spotter helps. Lift your legs up though and your back stays totally flat.

Yeah, when you do your pullups do not strap a dumbell to yourself. You will do fewer.

take a dump first you will be lighter. It is true my friend can do a shitload of pull ups he gets challenged a lot at his house by people that workout all the time and think they can beat him. most people think they can do a lot hit 19-25 but he keeps chugging away after 30. He is about 135 pounds and eats ice cream daily with pull ups and bike riding as the only work out routine.

how many is a lot? I have never seen him beat. one guy travis came close to beating him but anyone who is heavy just can't come close. He does them fully extended down then full up cheater pull ups do not count in the basement. knees are bent I don't know if that makes a difference or not but there is no room otherwise where the bar is.

Gironda sternum pulls will make a man out of you.

As for benching, I used to do it and the only thing I got out of it was over developed triceps and under developed chest. Switched to wide grip neck press last months and I've never looked back. Nothing but isolation on the pec.

Nice man, You are a fukin beast no doubt! I'm average height, but my long arms sure make for some extra effort. You are 5'4"? Did you get into lifting initially because you are a shorter guy? Pretty safe to say if you did, your mission is accomplished....no one would even consider fucking with you!

I just started lifting again, I am tall and slender = 6'1 and 165 and have extra long arms so it sucks. I can still put up 200 once but in highschool I was putting up 230 and weighed 150. My football coach wouldnt let you play if you couldnt bench your weight. My boy was 300 pounds putting up 420, I thought the bar was going to break!

Lol. Thanx man. Long extremities definately are a disadvantage when it comes to training. In the gym is the only times I'm thankful I have stubs for limbs! Haha.

I actually started lifting when I was in high school. I use to race down hill mountain biking, and started to go to the gym to train my legs since I had to pedal twice as hard with my midget legs. Started working out the upper body as well, and found myself in the gym more and more and my bike staying in the garge more and more. Before I knew it, I was in the gym 6 days a week and had a $3000 piece of art work hanging in my garage! lol.

I don't have short man complex by any means. I know I'm a midget, and I'm OK with that. Just makes it easier for me to look bigger, that's all!

I'm 6'1". about 170 lbs, and have no idea how much I can bench. I'm more about endurance training though. Ran Cross country and track in high school, so big muscle mass wasn't exactly a good thing. However, once I started working construction, I found out I actually had muscles, and they started to get more defined and pop out a bit. I think after I end up getting an office job, a gym may become a necessity, but we will see.

Just to give you an idea, I hit GNC when I was about 22. Picked up some of their 2200 calorie Gold weight gainer, for shits and giggles. Ate 3 large meals a day on top of that, pumped iron, ran, etc, and gained maybe 3 lbs in 1.5 months. I estimated I was taking in 6-8K calories a day. Tried creatine and some protein shakes as well. I am not destined to bulk up.

I bench twice a week. Normally just part of my routine on chest day then very heavy on Saturday mornings. I mix dead lifts and bench.

I actually have no clue what my BW to weight ratio is.

Lol. Ya I'll get a pic up sooner or later. I start managing the new gym next week.(thank god!) I can finally get out of construction and focus more on my training. I lose way too much weight working 10-12 hour days in the heat.

Nah man, not offended by any means. What I was doing was working, so I just decided to add those extra couple hundred calories each day as to not burn too much muscle. This week was the 9th week of the superset routine which went something like 4 on, 2 weeks off, 5 on. Reckon I should keep with it or go to something else?

i did 65 push ups the other dude did 67
the did 37 sits ups the other dude did like 47 - 49

we didn't do the squats cause i can't do them properly

they're the same. with a wider grip, its easier to have a bar with those "bends" that are further out. but if u do pullups with ur grip shoulder-width or more narrow, it the same difficulty, no matter what bar you have.

I could always squat and deadlift extremely high amounts of weight, my bench was always extremely lacking though. I've since given up on olympic squats and do only front squats. I don't need my ass and waist getting any bigger...after years of squatting high weight this was one side effect I could do without.
