Well something happened inside my DLP and now I have tiny dust specs all over the screen :(

You think canned air would be safe to spray in around the bulb/lenses? I have a warranty on it so I can get someone to come out but it will be like 4 weeks :(

Those warranties are the biggest fucking scam.

I have been through three bulbs so I actually didn't make out too bad. I think it was $400 for 5 years... bulbs were about $250 when I bought it I am sure you can get them a lot cheaper now.

Just hate fucking waiting for them to come out.. Shit expires in August anyway and the bulb warning light came on a few weeks ago so I am going to get one more done.

Looking forward to upgrading anyway, even if I have to go down to a 42" the LCD's seem a lot clearer.

Sandblaster should clear it right up.

Normally, using canned air on any optical system is a very bad idea. I'm not familiar with DLP enough to know exactly how it works, but I would say don't do it.

Do it on a SLR digital and you can destroy the cmos sensor.

I upgraded this weekend. Went from a 35" CRT to a 60" plasma.

I don't know WTF I've been thinking holding off for so long.

A plasma or lcd? Plasma is dying technology.

I don't think it is either I think it's DLP its like one of those old big box widescreens but smaller/lighter..

And yeah I decided to wait on doing it myself the guy is coming out in a few weeks.

I was just asking SM, I dont see alot of plasma sets out anymore. Pioneer and alot of others quit making them but plasma does have the best picture.
