So I have a shitload of rock chips on my hood from driving on the highway all the time. One of them seems to have started to bubble up and now has a pin sized spot of ruse in the middle with the paint bubbling around it for a total site of about 1/8".

What is the best way to stop it before it gets bad? Can I just throw some touch up paint over it or is there something else that needs to be done? I don't give a shit about how it looks would just rather stop it if I can before it keeps getting bigger.

What would you suggest using? I haz a dremel I think they have some type of sanding adapters for it.

would make it a minute or so job, or you could just use some sand paper :)

take the rust off with whatever u can, i used a flat head screwdriver to get bubbling paint and rust off my old car, then use some sand paper on a sanding block.....

if you wanna do it right.... you would remove rust, sand to bare metal, seal metal, fill (if needed), sand, primer, sand, paint and clear......

how big is the spot? show some pixors.

I'd sand by hand.

Thanks I think my kit came with one of those. I was not sure if something like made out of sandpaper or wire like that would be better.

The entire thing bubbles and all is smaller than the tip of a pencil eraser.

I'd sand by hand.

It's really small which is why I figured I will probably do less damage using the dremel which will be a little more precise.
