is there an audible difference between 2000 watts and 3400 watts? or an audible difference between 2500 watts and 3800 watts? and i don't mean ac mic or termlab difference, i mean human ear difference

Too many factors to compute
1. you have 2 ford tarus, same year
2.) u have identical HU's, both of the settings are equal
3) same amp kit is used for both
4.) both cars have the same 12" subs and both boxes are the same cubic ft and tuned to the same frequency
5, volume turned to 35/60 on both hu's
6. gain is at the exact same place on both sub amps

Too many factors to contribute.
Not to mention, same amp kit? The bigger amp won't get enough power.
Gain at the same place? One amp might be more sensitive.
Not to mention not every HU is the same.
Also, the driver's a big role.

yeah, say both are using a 0/1 gauge amp kit
true
a duraband x3400 isn't the same as a duraband x3400?

What if the space inside one of the cars is occupied by slightly more objects or a part of the vehicle has rusted allowing for more movement of air.
It would be very difficult to compute. Would they be close? They SHOULD be, but honestly just no way to know.

I have tested the resonant frequency of two identical vehicles. Same make, model, year, interior, contents in the interior, even had the saem freaking color interior, using the same sub and amplifier. There was a 10hz difference in the resonant frequency. Tis a reason I hate questions like this. Unless your one of Dionne Warwicks psychic friends, there is no way to tell. :)
