Endurance that is. What a disgusting and foul exercise from hell!
I ran a 5k today for charity it was the first time I have ran in month's(I do other and superior forms of cardio) For me at least. That shit was embarrassing! A middle aged woman and what looked to be 13 year old kid passed me up. I have never been able to excel in running even when I trained varsity XC in high school. My body is just not made for it. I didn't stop running the whole time I was happy about that. Who else hates endurance running?

Only two reasons to run.
1. Being chased by Police.
2. I just heard we are out of Beer "Ima go run up to the store and buy some more!"

Working two jobs plus my own training for my own goals=No time for 5k training. Although while I was running it I wish I would have lol.

For a charity run do you need to get sponsors and shit or can you just go to somehow help just by running?
I have thought about it but the thought of hounding people to donate money just kind of ruins the entire thing. We have a guy here who does a triathlon yearly for the red cross and said he feels like a douche doing it, I usually give him $20 bucks.

For this it was 25$ to sign up to run and you also could offer things for the silent auction. I offered 3 personal training sessions.

I suck at running, but for some reason I enjoy it.

I like to run but with my scoliosis, my legs are uneven (ever so slightly) but it feels like im being all jumbled up on the inside, I'd like to get some of those shoes that are "custom" made based on your foot pressure

What was your time?
28.2x Wasn't an official 5k but that time sounds about right. I can run the first mile in under 7 and after that I'm hopeless.

Damn dude. I know you are pretty strong, so how the hell you having to "heal" after 3.1? More than likely your problem was described right above when you said "I can run the first in 7 and after that I'm hopeless". So run the first in 9 and the other two in 8 and run the .1 at a sprint (should give you a mid 25). 9 minute mile is barely over a brief jog....just sounds like you're running out of wind long before the race gets going. You already have the leg power, just gotta learn the timing.

Very true, I could work on my timing. I just pushed myself the whole race. I don't plan to ever train competitively for distance running.
Got my mile down to 6:26 once haha I know shitty.
As far as healing from a 5k, a 5k can make a difference in an ME Squat day for professional power-lifters. You don't have to be all out sore or even a little sore to have your workout effected.

It takes time, patience and practice. Jump-roping. Intervals, while you rest stair step.
That is a high intense interval cardio form however. For endurance cycling is nice low impact exercise.
