I read somewhere that the 60gb versions may be more likely to fail.
Is there a newest HW version one should buy over the others. HD
size does not matter as long as it has an HD.
Or, SM might come in here and tell you to get the one that Nintendo makes. I want that one.

Had a 60 and 20 with no issues. Both backwards compatable.
I have never tried playing mine backwards... I wouldnt be able to see the TV.
But I am able to rewind with it with no problem, is that what you are talking about?

Rewind on a PS3 is the SHIT! I've waited a long time for that feature.

It only works on AVCHD files.

My 60GB is three years old and works like a charm. If backwards compatibility is something you don't need then I would probably look for a 80GB+ unless you find a good deal.

I have a launch model 20gb due to it having the superior backwards compatibility and I haven't had any issues yet. The only problem's Ive seen with any PS3 is a hard drive failure which is a easy fix done by just replacing the hard drive completely or putting the hard drive in another PS3 and doing a complete reformat.
