My 9 sec street car build.

Well im 18 and know a good bit about cars. the mechanics, the physics, the history, and all of that great crap. =] i drive an 87 mustang coupe that has a 302 with bolt ons but i attend Texas Tech University which is 5 hrs away from my house in the dallas area so i wanted to rebuild and restore a little before bringing it out. as of now its just a stock blocked fuel injected 302 with intake, heads, cam, exhause, weight loss, built rear-end with 3.73s, and an alum. driveshaft. me and my buddy from 8thmileperformance are in the process of building a new heart for it and i wanted to share with you guys.

its a dart blocked, 347 stroker with eagle forged crank, forged H-beam rods, forged JE pistons, Girdle on the bottom end, AFR 185 heads, custom grind cam with .575 lift, eddlebrock victor junior intake with demon 750 carb, long tube headers into a Hi-flow catted H-pipe with dynomax bullets dumped before the axle, a sick T5 tranny with nasty syncros and gears, pro-50 shifter, same rear end and axle, and a cage. =] interior as stated before is pretty much gutted from the front seats to the rear of the car and the seats are black fiberglass buckets. aside from all of that, ill probably give it a 250 shot of the juice to make a possible 700+ on the dyno. should run low 6's in the 8th and 9s in the quarter. ill try to update with pics whenever possible.

BTW, that foxbody is going to look out of place on a college campus. Unless you are going to live off campus in a trailer park, then it will be right at home!

lol i probably wont drive it here the first time out. hes going to bring it on a trailer so i can run the car for a while before i drive it on a long trip. gotta work out bugs and stuff. im a mechanical engineering/automotive engineering major here at tech so i have access to good equipment as well as programs. should be fun
