Let's talk Tilapia v. The frozen kind

Give me some healthy ways to cook this shit. I have been eating a shitload of red meat so I am starting this week back on chicken/turkey only but going to try and throw some fish into the mix.

Only way I can think of thus far is some lemon pepper, lemon juice and maybe some planko crumbs.

I am just going to buy a big bag of them at walmart, they are individually wrapped. I am guessing I need to let them thaw and can't just throw them on a baking sheet frozen.

Blackened tilapia is very good. That is the only way I have ever prepared it, but then again, I have only cooked tilapia once...

The only thing I have really eaten is cod/haddock really. I tried Tuna once but made it kind of shitty and it turned me off to it. Love the stuff in a can/bag though.

I don't think fish taste very good more than a day or two after it was cooked so I figured getting frozen filets would allow me to be able to make something in 20 minutes or so if I needed it.

Plus cod/haddock is expensive here 9/10$ lb.. Not that I am broke I just prefer to get the most bang for the buck I can.

Yeah, it comes frozen. I had it the other right (in the nom nom thread). Light fish, good over rice.

On another note, tilapia would make some bomb ass fish tacos, as long as you used grilled tilapia instead of fried.

Damn. I got two lbs of cod for $7 here on sale.

I use a lot of Old Bay seasoning on my tilapia when I bake it. And McCormick seafood sauce. I grill it over charcoal sometimes using some Lemon Citrus seasoning.

LOL. I fucking love mexican food. It is the one food that I can literally eat until I am beyond miserable, and keep eating.
