Keep in mind pricing that I am poasting on these...

1) GTO spoiler - about $75, cheapest by far, and that is probably why I am leaning towards this one...

2) INGS +1 - Can probably find one for about $250-350, one of the only lip spoilers I have found that I like...

3) Masdaspeed - Usually used for somewhere between $350-600...

they all look ok.... if i had to choose i would probably go with the INGS, i like lip spoilers.

did u factor in the painting in those prices or is that just for the spoiler?

**edit** the more i look at the pics the more the first on is growing on me.

The second two are gay as fuck. Why are you putting a spoiler on something you are selling?

hoss
08-31-2009, 04:27 PM
That is just the price of the spoiler for all of them. I like the look of the INGS as well, but I am not entirely in love with it. I cant find a nice lip spoiler that I absolutly love...

Didnt we just have this conversation on friday or saturday when I was buying my springs?

That is what it did to me too. It is pretty similar to the OEM spoiler look, but a bit more dramatic.

Probably, but I don't have the ability to store any memory from Friday afternoons through Monday morning.

Cliffs: Not selling the car anymore, keeping it for a while unless I absolutly have to get rid of it of have to get a truck.

I already answered that question fucker. No I did not, because I have a friend who is the manager of a local body shop, and another friend whose dad has a spray boothe at his house, so I am not overly concerned with that price.

hoss

Maybe I should just ask tapout to rip a spoiler off of a wrecked GTO for me...

I would pick the GTO, I'm not crazy about the look of the INGS and the mazdaspeed looks a little to riced out to me.

LIGHT.

UCP

Very light for the price.

hoss
08-31-2009, 05:54 PM
I did not look at the lights on them. I do like them though.

Sizing tires now, looking at 19"s, wondering if I would be going too agressive going with a 245/35/19.

hoss
08-31-2009, 05:54 PM
Wheels/tires are a ways down the road anyways...

u needs to drop it before u gets the new wheels.

UCP
08-31-2009, 06:07 PM
I disagree. Wheels are far more important than a spoiler.

Get coilovers, stance make shit for the RX-8? They have a bad ass setup for the FC.

hoss

Already have springs to drop it dood, going about 2" front and rear.

I am going cosmetic for right now. Once I start going for performance coilovers will be the first thing. The Tein basics look to be the best bang for the buck. $750 for all four corners, about a 1.25" drop, and agressive, but not competition level spring rates (4xx lbs up frount and 5xx lbs rear).

Installing on the 26th. Spoiler probably wont go on the car until after xmas, but I might go ahead and buy it just to have it ready to go.

_AnGeL_
08-31-2009, 06:20 PM
wtf u going to wait almost a month to install some springs for? :crap:

are you going to DIY or take it to a shop?

hoss
08-31-2009, 06:25 PM
DIY.

The local RX8 club has 4 cars that we will be doing suspension work on. Gonna try and let a shop borrow a few of their lifts so we can get in, get cars in the air, and install springs/struts/coilovers.

_AnGeL_

kool, i used to install springs on my civic all the time. easiest thing to do lol.

INGS looks the nicest but I don't know if its $275 worth of difference

I hate the Mazdaspeed one, looks way too ricey.

hoss
08-31-2009, 07:11 PM
I dont understand why no one makes a nice lip spoiler for this car... They are all either too small, or too big.

The INGS is a little larger than what I would like, but not overly large. Everything else just sits on top of the trunk lid and extends it like .5", what is the point there?

Spider Monkey
08-31-2009, 07:11 PM
Shouldn't you be focusing on getting work, instead of rocking your car out?

The wingless look grew on me after I bought the car, but I still like the way a nice spoiler finishes off the back end of just about any car. I got the GTO wing, probably wont install it until after xmas this year. Until then, I will hold it up behind my car and make engine noises.
