So what should have been about a 4-6 hour install is going to go into day 3 tomorrow afternoon (I can only work on it after work). Here is my problem and I'm getting PISSED because either i'm stupid or something is just jacked up.
Plug the power into the unit CHECK
Plug the ground into the unit CHECK (confirm ground and move to multiple locations
Plug into the REMOTE to use an OUTPUT (I'm using high level inputs). NOTHING happens....by this I mean the unit does not turn on no power nothing.
Now if I plug the REM into the ground on the amp, we get power indicators (without changing anything else). WTF the REM in the ground turns it on?!?! The light on the top is red, but it is on.
Am I missing something?

ROFL....got it. Mother fuck I'm just so frustrated today.
I have to turn the thing to remote output and let it detect the signal. It was turning on because i was giving it a signal via the ground.

something you figured out in 4 mintues after you complained, took 3 days?.. you sure that 360.2's for you?
not so bad though, i had an issue when i installed my KTX-EQ100 to my 9887.. first the software didn't want to install on a Vista Laptop, so i had to disassemble my computer and ghetto rig it outside. then after i get it installed on my computer the computer wouldn't recognize the EQ nor would the program for it. after that unplugging and repluging everything i finally got it to be recognized byt the computer. when i went to have the program run it's freq test it would error out and not specify what the error was.. wasn't in the manual. no help at all and alpine tech was closed.. i finally got everything working and the EQ set. now, both my tweets and 1 mid is blown. i have 1 6.5 and a single stock speaker running in the car. :/

Okay, new question. Perhaps my DMM sucks balls for this. I'm trying to check voltage from the speakers (never seem to have luck with this) and I have to have 6volts. Now I would assume as the wire is running from an amp there is already a good amount of voltage BUT when I check it nothing shows up unless I put it on 2V with a solid line above and little dots below that. When I do that it shows .011. Is it possible that I just can't detect speaker voltage using my dmm?

Na, the wire running, splicing into the OEM install took the time as well as getting the tweeters mounted and the woofer. This was just last minute draw while being destroyed by bugs.

Ann should be set on ac volts which will be the v with a sine wave beside it, you have it set on dc

read the instructions?
Actually not in the instructions. It says "to change REM to output, please contact customer service"

Alright....lol....so lets try a new question
my 360.2 is plugged into front (which is directly off the stock amp from the TWEETERS) and
rear (which is directly off of the stock amp from the mids)
If I run OEM setup on the 360 it will bridge the signals to make a solid signal, but for some reason the sound is not right.
If I do aftermarket it will not bridge the signal but the sound is right (minus one side basically being highs, one being not so highs).
So I have 2 sets of RCA's coming out of the output the right and left side. Is there a combination that would = both sides of the amp getting a full range of sound? The sets go into my amp which I have bridged (bi-amping the crossovers wasn't working well).
I feel like this is one of those train traveling north at XXX questions lol
