can you use the rockband 2 band kit with rockband one? might be a stupid question but im not sure :hide:

also what would you get GH world tour (the one with the band kit thingy) or RB 2?

i have an xbox lawn care team specialist game that games with a lawnmower/wead wacker and burrito kit that works with lawn care team specialist 2.

RB2 controllers work with RB1.

As far as which to buy, that is tricky. I love the game play and non-linearity of RB2. It really is the best as far as gameplay itself goes. Everything else is just to linear in progression. However, world tour is still plenty fun. Guitar hero is also more challenging. the scoring is much more critical. So they both have their pros and cons. I like that GH is more challenging, but the game play on RB2 is better.

GUITARS: RB wins this bout. The RB guitars are more natural feeling with a slightly longer neck and flush fret buttons. RB software will work with either RB guitars or GH guitars though. The reverse is not rue. GH refuses to add drivers in their software so people can use RB instruments on GH games. Which annoys the crap out of me, because the RB guitars are better.

DRUMS: GHWT has the best drums. With one more pad than RB and the set of cymbals raised in front of the other pads, it adds just a bit more realism to the drum portion. You can also get an additional foot pedal for double kick.

MICROPHONE: They both use the exact same logitech USB mic.

Also if this is for the Wii, I know of a way to get all RB2 DLC free on a hacked Wii.

Yes, but it doesn't add more challenge or more required notes.

they do add more realism for those who know the songs already. The 3 cymbal expansion sets correspond with colors already on the main pads. So if you know you should be hitting a cymbal you can choose to hit the yellow cymbal instead of the main pad. However, you aren't dinged for not. As far as the game is concerned yellow is yellow, no matter which pad you choose to hit. If I could only have one, I would probably do RB2, but enjoy being able to play both.
