Soooo last summer my fiance's Cavelier broke down so her parents got her a new 09 Lancer GTS. We have been paying for the car since July when the car was purchased but it was in her dad's name since she had 0 credit at the time. Over the weekend she had a disagreement with her parents, there was some disrespecting of the family involed, and now they have the car. :(

No more Drift King for me :crap:

Long story but...she's an Asian muslim and her parents are strict as fuck and didn't want her to have anything. She pretty much had to sneak behind their back to get a credit card. She has pretty good credit now since I made her go out a get a couple cards and finance some stuff and pay it of but she hasn't had it long enough to get a new car yet.

That definitely sucks. Is she older than 18?? It shouldn't matter how strict her parents are once she is old enough to be an adult.

She'll be fucking 22 in 3 weeks!!! She was on this "I have to do what my parents say" bullshit. I won't say bullshit because I understand respecting your parents but this was too much. I finally got her off of that but by the time she realized how fucked up the situation was it was too late.

Loved it. Seriously. Decent price, good on gas, fun to drive, and I love how they look. If you get a GTS make sure its an 09

I'm looking. I saw one at the dealership (not sure if it was a gts) but it had the rockford system in it with the big 7" or 6.5" tocuh screen factory. Was like 17k?

um thats fucked up...my parents were strict as hell on my till i was about 17 almost 18, aafter that they did care what i did....but the credit card shit is over the top...

one thing that is considered bad and ur not supposed to do is "intrest". you are not supposed to pay or recieve inrest from anyone...but like my dad has a business and he has to..

I actually got this one for 19k and it didn't even have the sound and nav pakage. The main difference between the gts and the es/de from the outside is the 18" rims and the body kit.

I had the auto. Definitely get a manual. The paddles were pretty nice though. The car is slow as balls sweat from a stop but once it gets between 3-4k rpms its actually pretty quick. Its faster than my v6 camry and a couple of other cars I've raced :)

So, in reality.. Her parent's baby is gone :laugh: or, returned.

They actually still have the car. I don't know what they plan on doing with it yet :(

They want her to be Muslim and I'm not Muslim so we're not supposed to be together. She chose me over the religion. I keep thinking to myself "lol this could turn out really bad for her" but I love her so hopefully everything works out ok.

Just moved in together in January because they were trying to give her a fucking curfew! WTF? They were fine with it for a while and then recently they said she had to make a decision.

Over the last 6 months I have been trying to stop her from relying on them and now she doesn't really need them for anything. Its just hard for her to let go of them.
