My parents just got a new TV and entertainment system for our family room. nothing is delivered or installed yet because we're working on building some walls units

They got some new technology called LED LCD or something like that. anybody ever heard of it? does it look promising or did we just buy some technology that will take a shit? :homeboy:

Never heard of it but I bought my TV four years ago and LCD 'DLP' was the shit back then so I assume it is probably similar technology in a LCD instead of a DLP.

Sounds kind of bobo. LEDS do have a long life span, though. So... that's a plus.

Backlight is LED. That's all it means.

Plasma is still my personal favorite. But, there are some really nice LCD TVs out there.

Brand & model?
