Hoss has done gone and got me started. Though in his defense I had several pocket watches prior. They used gold and rubies in the mechanical movements, depending on the level of the watch. Those are ballin. :fyi:

But I have picked this up, just the other day off of ebay. Waiting to see how it turns out.

For 79 and free shipping I am not out a ton of coinage should I absolutely hate it. Been quite a number of great reviews on these watches however. I'll know in a week or so!

Watchuseek forum seems to be a pretty good place for watch info. Russion or chinese will probably be the route to go. :fyi:

Nice. I like both of those. Assuming quality is good (I have not heard of them personally, not that this means much) then I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I remember begging and finally getting a Armatron I think Ironman watch when I was a kid. Thing did like 100 different things I am sure I never used but still loved that fucking watch.

This is a test for me to see how I care for a $200-400 before I drop more cash on a watch, if I fail I may very well look into a Armatron :)

To be honest I am just looking for something for thr LF to get me for xmas and it seems like I am hoing to either go for a watch or some type of HTIB in the same price range.

Saw someone mention this the other day, people seem to say it hold up well which is what I worried about at first/

My biggest issue is I don't know any of the cheaper brand or what to look for and still learning what shit like automatic, quartz and other terms mean.

Was also looking at these two from that brand you first mentioned.

I actually do own oen pocket watch, that I do not wear very often... The lid is transcribed with HB^2. Only there is no carat, and the 2 is superscript, since I am the second HB in my family. I rarely break it out.

I really want to get my wooden watch fixed, since it has always been my "everyday" watch... I should probably just wear it even though it doesnt work... I miss it. I need a basic watch again. Or maybe I just want a new one, it is hard to tell :keke:
