check the encryption on your wifi. Or hardwire it in.

You playing through wifi or direct? Had the same type of issue a lot with my 360 but PS3 works fine, makes no sense because they are both 'g' protocol.

I have it plugged into the ethernet on my laptop that gets wireless, then networks bridged. I haven't had any problems until today, and I've had it like this for a while. It'll work for a game or two then start freaking out.

Some do not run well with AES. Might need to be TKIP or perhaps might need to be AES.

Or just put it demilitarized. Sure, it can be seen by anyone, but can the 360 link to your network??? I do not think it could.

dude...you're running bridged? Yikes

why not just go wireless? Or do you not have wireless on it?

Can't justify spending 100 bucks on a wireless adapter for the xbox when this usually works just fine.

for best results, he should just go hard wired. correct?

have you updated the drivers to the network card recently? Maybe check the bridge settings.

Yes...i'm going to assume that he doesn't do this because it is too far away though.

I thought all 360's had built-in wireless. Totally understandable about not wanting to spend extra. I do not own a 360, so I'm just going off of what I think here.

If it has been working, I'd say check the network driver (see if it was updated) Also, just reboot your router. Sometimes, it just gets cranky.

if you've never done it, just unplug the power to the router and count to about 20 and plug it back in.

yeah i reset the modem and router, seemed to clear it up for the most part. still won't let me or my friend join each others party...

unfortunately the router is all the way in the basement and i'm on the second floor.
