Help with an AMP

So I have a 5000 watt class D soundstorm amp. Will this be enough to power my speakers? I have 6x8's in the doors and 8-way 6x9's in the back. Both Pyle BTW...rated for 200 rms apiece I think. Any way I can hook all this up without blowing it? I am also going to be using 8 gauge wire and a 50 amp fuse.

Oh yeah and I wanted to ask if I'd need an extra battery for this. I have a 0ga wire running from my positive battery terminal and it hangs out of my vent on the dashboard. I use it to create sparks to light fires but now I want to hook it up so I can have a defibrillator in the car. Sometimes when I'm driving I tend to lose vision and I think it may be my heartrate or something...I know its not the alcohol or the smoke. I know for sure I'm drunk but it wouldn't give me those types of symptoms. Any advice for hooking up any types of blood pressure devices in my car?

Yes, you could run this without blowing the speakers. Just adjust the gains accordingly. it will just be set really REALLY low. If you don't know how to set your gains, I suggest going to ca.com and checking out the gain setting tute.

It should be just fine. A secret that many high end shops use is to actually swap the power and ground wires. Basically just put the power wire in the ground terminal and the ground wire in the power terminal. It regulates the voltage the amplifier sees so that way you dont have to worry about voltage drops as much. :fyi: :fyi: :fyi: :fyi: :fyi: :fyi:

I don't think he will get the time alignment right, so it won't really sound right to him. Unless he maybe has some knowledge we don't know about he is better off going standard.

You're right. he isn't ready for anything as advanced as swithcing power cable and aligning the timing of the note belts.
