Any decent android phone coming by way to tmobile this year you are aware of. There was one thats in the UK (HTC Incredible maybe?) but it had a pretty small screen :(

Was going to google but I know your love for android and all things it touches and figured you would have more up to the date info.

Thought is at least try something with android before getting a new iphone and can resell it for $$ against iphone should I still decide to go that route.

x2 on this info. I'm still thinking about switching carriers as an option to get more phone choices if tmobile doesn't come out with some more good phones. Other than the N1 there isn't anything else I really like.

Right now the Nexus One is your only choice. The Incredible is only going to be for Verizon. The Nexus Two will be coming soon, but Google hasn't given details about it yet. I wouldn't hold my breath for it. I don't think anything good is planned for T-Mobile this year. HTC just acquired a better company to make their touch screens, so They'll be much better next year. If I were you, I'd just hold out for the iPhone for now.

The resolution is the same as the N1. The touchscreen was re-done by that new company. It still has the 1ghz Snapdragon and has HTC Sense. All other features are pretty similar to the N1.

There is a HTC phone coming out soon for tmo but I forget the name. All I can remember was the case is metal and made out of one peice and the screen is smaller than the iphone which is why I passed.

atoz is a developer for android right? any realistic possibility we could see android running on something like the hd2 at some point (hacked) or just a pipe dream.. that phone is badass.. shame they put wm on it :(

You're talking about the HTC Legend, which is the successor to the Hero.

I haven't checked XDA in a bit, but I'm sure someone has or is working on porting Android to the HD2.

So what are these ROMs? I see a bunch of them are for the HD2 but no one really mentioning what they do or what works and what don't.

Those are just modified Windows Mobile 6.5 ROMs. Look in the Android Development section.
