If Chrome doesn't work for you I'd say try firefox. If that doesn't work go with Opera if that doesn't work go with IE.

If you're on win7, just use the built-in browser.

about google chrome
when you click it you get a message that says you are up-to-date or you need to update

the reason that the .pdf files go to a download location is because this prevents files from starting on their own.

it is possible it just doesn't work on your system.
I only use chrome and on multiple systems and have never had a problem (outside of a special app that runs on IE for my security cameras)

Opera is a VERY stable browser. It misses some of the functionality that the others have and isn't as safe as Chrome.
Chrome does have hiccups however it is the safest browser as of last month.

it must be your computer. google can do no wrong.
btw, if firefox freezes up it is due to the shitty coding/scripting on the website you are accessing. blame the coder - not firefox.

Only thing I hate aboutscchrome is that when a page doesn't work there is no real indication... it just sits there and does nothing... don't know if it's the page or the browser until I try it in another browser...

No problem in IE, must not be the website.

Negative. It was sites I regularly visit that never had problems before and it would lock up and quit itself...

Same thing was happening to me last week in Firefox. Whenever I would start a download it would freeze and then close. Would sometimes do it while browsing, too.
It randomly stopped doing it recently, so who knows?

I never was a huge user of firefox. I do use it for quake live (as it is the best) however Chrome has yet to fail me.
They all honestly have their individual strengths. I have them all because sometimes i have to troubleshoot and it requires other browsers.
