I just bought my mom the Nikon L22 for Mothers Day and it seems like a pretty good budget camera. She always drops her cameras and stuff so I didnt want to spend alot.

These Canon's are excellent as well, we have the SD1100, which is just the 8.0MP version and couldn't be happier with it. Takes great pictures, small and has excellent battery life.

Haha I didn't see this thread. I have a nikon S550. It's a nice camera. I like it more than the modal easyshares I've had in the past. I hate those kodak cameras.
