trying to unlock/jailbreak/activate a iphone 3g

i dont know right now its brandnew. its a friends phone from work. I tried to do a shift+click restore and it was erroring out. then i read something online about a lot of people having that error when using the front usb ports on their desktop.

connected the cable to the back USB port and its restoring to 3.1.2 now. then i will try blackra1n again.

got error 1015, while the error was still up i ran blackra1n. shits good now, now im going to try to unlock

well its jailbroken but when i put in my tmobile sim it just shows no signal, no tmobile. restoring to 3.1.2 (on it now) and runing blackra1n again

blackrains your jailbreak, not your unlock.

you unlock it going thru cydia

i have the same firmware on my iphone and his is missing a tab under network connections. same shit happened when i restored my dads last time, it took a second time.

after it adds source go to the source where you will then find Blacksnow as a download and run

hold on,you said you had already jailbroken it but when you put in the TM card in it doesn't connect to it's network. was cydia added into the apps?
