I installed an amp yesterday for some comps. Everything was swell till 10 minutes later the amp kept going in and out of protect and eventually stayed in protect. I unplugged all the speaker wires to it and it still stays in protect. Is there anything I can do? Or is the amp toast?

Common reply, I know. But have you verified all of your wires? Did you check the voltage coming in is the min the amp requires?
Also, check your ground is secure and clean from paint and is making good contact. Perhaps try changing your grounded point.

I'd go with it being your ground.

Its either a bad ground or a prolapsed anus. Probaly a little bit of both from all those squats you been doing.

Why do they call it protect if the motherfucker don't work either way?

Amp was bad. I blame it on being a re-manufactured amp. Shit lasted 10 fucking minutes. O well I'm getting my money back.
