Yes, 4 sets.

OK I don't really know. However, I have never bought a comp set that came with 6X9 mounting plates. If they did they would be made of plastic and I would throw them away and make an MDF baffle.

my pro60's came with metal adapters. im so fucking tired of making mdf adapters.

i want some xs69's, which would mean i need no adapters, but for $500-600 id rather buy the ctx's and do speakers all around instead of just in the front like i always have before.

thanks though, if most of yours did not come with adapters then these cheap ass id's probably dont either.

sounds like you're in the wrong game then bro. if you can't router out some adapters in 10 minutes or less.. you're doin' it wrong.

But an MDF baffle is going to be better than plastic or metal that come with some walmart speakers bro. I cannot empirically back that up, but I am pretty sure wood is mo sonically dead than metal and plastic is just cheap.

I can go either way in my Ranger (similar to your explorer) and the deal is, you are going to have to build a baffle either way.
