One 12" = 113.1 vs. Two 10" = 157.08
and
Two 10" = 157.08 vs. Two 12" = 226.19

is there an audible difference between these??

Too many factors to give a yes or no answer dude

hmmmm.

all subs are in the same 1993 pontiac gran prix, all in their optimal enclosures (the 10's get a 1.25 cube box the 12's get a 1.75 cube box), boxes are made out of 3/4 mdf, each sub is getting 600 watts a piece, same head HU with all settings flat.

edit: they boxes are ported and tuned to 35hz

You're still leaving out a shitload of details dude

You have not said which way you plan on facing them or anything

It's all about the waves bro, if you don't tune them correctly you could have a dozen funky pups in that bitch that don't even hit as hard as ac AC Delco Coax.

I'm far from a CA guru but you're only going to get guesses out of the blue without more information than that, if that's what you want some of the SPL guys around here will probably give you a better guess than I could.

The only way you could actualy find the best results is to actually run each setup and decide which is best.

Given the same exact circumstances, greater cone area will be louder on the mic. Audibly? Who knows.

to an spl meter, you might see a slight increase with more cone area. I say might because you make no mention of power. Audibly , I would have to say a big no. Why? Human ears are much less sensitive to lower frequency as opposed to higher frequency. Take a 30hz tone and a 1khz tone and play them at the same amplitude. Our ears will always perceive the higher tone as louder due to this sensitivity.
